Newborns are ideally photographed within the first two weeks of birth when they are still very curly and sleepy.  However successful newborn photographs can be taken within the first four weeks if the first fortnight has already passed.

During the session you can expect to receive parent, family and sibling photographs along with the posed individual newborn photographs.

​

Your baby will be photographed both with and without a swaddle on the special posing bean bags in the studio.  The workflow I have will usually include prop photographs and hopefully those adorable awake images which parents love!  Each session is run with your baby's preferences in mind.

I have over five years experience with newborn photography and your baby's safety is paramount at all times.

​

A newborn session can even take place in your own home.  A short consultation via phone or email beforehand lets me know what your preferences are for colour and style and everything is brought to your home to ensure your photographs look exactly like the ones I take in the studio.  Limited to a driving time of 40 minutes from Torbay or extra fees may apply.

Your session fee includes 30 high resolution digital images provided on USB - usually two weeks after your session has been photographed.  Photographs are chosen and edited by Melanie J Photography.
